All analytics initiatives should start with identifying the opportunities to improve business value for the organisations, in terms of either increasing revenue or streamlining business processes. Based on the identified value, we then create a road map and plans for the analytics implementations.

We work with the clients to identify the currently available data, assess the information gaps and build strategy to expand the data sources when required. Expanding data sources can be done through various channels including external data sources, surveys, or utilising IoT.

With data available in different sources, there are steps required before the data can be consumed for analysis or modeling. One of the common issues is siloed data sources that are stored in different locations and formats. In this situation, we typically design a process for data extraction, transformation and loading / merging (ETL).

We also sometimes apply data fusion techniques to merge different data sources using statistical techniques like fuzzy matching or statistical matching. The merged data is then stored in a new merged data set. Once the merging is done successfully, this is the step where we start utilising data analysis tools ranging from data visualisation, predictive models, forecasting or other machine learning tools.

We use technology as part of our deliverables as much as possible, either in the form of process automation, analytics and dashboard. We use different technological solutions to build an integrated data warehouse solutions, automated extraction and transformation (ETL) process, visualisation dashboard, and real time analytics / machine learning. We can work either within client’s environment or build cloud-based solutions.

We collaborate with the client’s team to deliver outputs that are easy to interpret and used. A typical process involves debrief for the client’s team, including presentation, training and technical support, whenever relevant for the project.
